I think the CfJ needs some shiny new kit that we can slip into our oversized pockets. Imagine the possibilities for online or TV news days…
- We could blog on the bus back from Chatham
- Use it to read our scripts, whilst filming live into the studio on a mobile phone
- Edit photos on to go
Check out Not on the Wires’ video all about the possibilities for journalists using them.

Ooh...
Very very very tempted to get one now, purely because of that.
'Hey what apps that?'
'Oh, just the one for my undergrad course.'
'Woah! That must be the best journalism degree in the world'
*gives job*

Clooney
Bad impersonations? It actually is George Clooney pretending to be his favourite journalist. He's a very good actor, remember.

Get in the Xmas Spirit
I bet combined the HDV-30s and the Edirols cost more than an iPad, can we not include them on the kit register? How cool would it be to go to Ian's office and say 'Can I check out an iPad?' I'm sure the BCTJ would be mightily impressed.

They'd be even more impressed
They'd be even more impressed if you called them by their correct name. The BJTC. Ahem.
Unless of course you're referring to the Brilliant Club for Taste in Jazz. Or the Bootiful Council for Turkey Joints.

Oh bother
All this NCTJ local government revision has warped my fragile little mind. I'm now assuming every abbreviation follows this :(

Shortages
Getting your hands on an edirol last year (this year if you're a first year :P) was hard enough... Nick will just sign them all out anyway.
